There will be several Memorial Day events at Southern Arizona cemeteries on Monday.
Each of the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services memorial cemeteries will host ceremonies:
Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Marana, 15950 N. Luckett Rd. Marana, beginning at 8 a.m.
Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1300 S. Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, 8:30 a.m.
Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Camp Navajo, 14317 Veterans Dr., Bellemont, Ariz. (Northern Arizona), 1 p.m.
South Lawn and East Lawn cemeteries in Tucson will hold events:
Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 South Park Ave., 8 a.m.
Feature the Tucson Concert Band, Sons of the American Revolution with piper William Don Carlos, Tucson Detachment 007 Marine Corps League rifle salute, presented by VFW Post 549.
East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Rd., at 8 a.m.
Featuring Sons of Orpheus, Scottish American Military Society, Post 81 with pipers Juan Figueroa, Mike Robinson and Charlie Cormode, salute by Bulk Fuel Company Alpha Marine Reserves, presented by VFW Post 4903.

What’s open, what’s closed
Most government offices will be closed Monday for Memorial Day.
Most city, county, state, and federal governmental offices will be closed Monday, including post offices and courts.
Most banks and credit unions will be closed.
City
of Tucson garbage and recycling will not be picked
up Monday, and will be delayed by one day all week. Waste Management
commercial customers normally served on Monday will have trash pickup on
Tuesday. The Los Reales landfill will remain open.
Holiday collection schedules are available online or through the free Recycle Coach app for residents to receive notifications about their trash, recycling, and brush and bulky collections.
The Pima County Public Library will be closed on Monday.
School districts will be closed Monday along with the University of Arizona and Pima County college campuses.
The Motor Vehicle Division will be closed Monday, as will be emissions testing stations.
U.S. stock exchanges and bond markets will be closed.
