Arizona’s Supreme Court did more than just declare a Civil War-era ban on abortion to be the current state law this week. The GOP-appointed justices shook a slew of Republican politicians into suddenly shifting their public rhetoric on reproductive rights. 

But will words be enough, or will Democrats seize the high ground in this year’s election?
