In a year marked by unpredictability and volatility in elections both in
the United States and globally, fundamental principles of democracy,
peace, freedom, and liberty are being challenged like never before.
Here in Pima County, Arizona, we have enjoyed a sense of security and
peace of mind, thanks to the leadership and management of our county
supervisors, city council, and mayor.
Amidst a climate where “politician” often evokes images of self-serving
narcissists, I can attest that there are still a few amazing and
genuinely dedicated civil servants. Pima County Supervisor Rex Scott is
one of them.
The role of a county supervisor is often seen as a thankless government
position, filled with the mundane tasks of data management, pothole
repairs, and daily crises.
However, what we don’t often see is the larger picture—the long-term
planning and immediate actions that go into the complex business of
growing, nurturing, and serving a county as large as Pima. Our county
supervisors work as a team, supporting and challenging each other to
address a myriad of issues, striving to make life in Pima County as
economically and socially viable as possible.
Running for re-election in District 1, Rex Scott has not only delivered
on his original campaign promises from four years ago but has also
consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty.
Very few politicians demonstrate the character, integrity, and
professionalism that Rex Scott has shown throughout his tenure. His
proven record of accomplishments is not just a checklist of fulfilled
promises but a testament to his hands-on approach and genuine concern
for his constituents.
Whether visiting every corner of his district, sleeves rolled up, taking
notes on how best to serve the people, Rex Scott exemplifies true
public service. Just log into his website and see for yourself the
actions he has taken toward safety and security, housing, climate
change, gun safety, poverty and most near and dear to his heart —
education.
This year has seen a rise in unbelievable and unconscionable actions and
threats from factions with self-serving and dangerous agendas. Here in
Arizona, in Pima County, we have the opportunity to ensure that our
community continues to thrive under the guidance of a solid,
trustworthy, and hardworking leader.
Rex Scott is more than qualified and genuinely cares about the people of
Pima County. Let us ensure that our backyard remains protected by
re-electing Rex Scott, a true servant of the people, dedicated to making
Pima County a better place for all.
